Default Newbie with a 2003 WRX PPP Wagon

Hi All,

Just signed up, I've been a BMW man for as long as I've been driving. But my E46 Coupe has just been written off.

So I fancied a change, and I'd always fancied an Impreza. So last Saturday I went out and bought one. Its a 2003 WRX Blobeye Wagon with the PPP kit and Prodrive Springs.

Its done just under 55k miles and mechanically its perfect. The bodywork needs some TLC though (Parking Dings).

Having had BMW's all my life I've not got a lot of experience with these, but i'm hoping to learn as I go. I'm quite mecahanically minded and have alot of experience working on cars, changing clutches, engine swaps, you name it i've done it, just not on an Impreza .

Looks a great forum from looking around, so hope I fit in well.

Cheers,

Scott

Cheers guys. I've only had it since Saturday, and for now the power is more than enough. It gets down the road very well indeed.

First mod, if you can call it that is paint! Its going in next week, the whole car apart from the roof and tailgate is being done.

Welcome mate! Subarus are absolutely great motors combining performance and reliability. Wish you to have lots of fun miles with your wagon and when the power bug bites you you'll find lots of useful tips here

I must admit i've been having a look to see what it would take to get it to around 300bhp. I think its supposed to be 265 Bhp currently.

One thing I am after is a drivers side front wing before it goes to the paint shop on Monday. I thought it would be pretty easy to find one, seems I was wrong!!

If anyone has one local drop me a PM.

Cheers.

If he does that he'll need a front bumper as well.

Welcome aboard, wagons rule.

I just want to keep it original. So i'm after a wagon wing.

Brand new from Subaru its £168. If I fitted saloon wings i'd need a bumper too as said above and I think it would throw the car out having the wider front end but still the narrow wagon rear end.

That I didn't know! Just know its a popular mod s they are a lot more aggressive and while giving it a paint job it makes sense

Yep i agree it throws the look of the car out when only the front is done, does look very sweet with front and rear though.
