strange: impreza died and then back to life!
I had the bonnet of my Bug open this morning, I just checked that the clips on the boost gauge were tight after a few weeks settling in.
I have an alarm with a keypad so if I dont start her up within a minute of unlocking, I have to lock and unlock again with the remote on the key.
Anyway, I do this and start, as I start the alarm goes off for half a second and then nothing. Car is dead.
I open up the main fusebox under the bonnet, all looks ok and then I get back in the car and the trip computer is reset to zero and the cd is sticking out of the head unit but all else is normal.
Should I worry that something is about to go bang?

If I have been under my bonnet, close it and start the car, I get an alarm chirp.
Car starts fine though, but according to my replies on here, battery could be on it's way.
No biggy though, if it goes, I'll replace it myself.

Strange thing is, its now back to life and started ok. Worried that there may be a lose connection that I disturbed.
If it is the battery is it worth charging them these days or isnt it worth it?

It's all about the battery holding it's charge. Charging it will get you started but could then go flat pretty quickly.
Have a check on the tightness on the main positive and negative terminals. If you can wiggle them around, they need nipping up.
