When I had my Japspeed front mount fitted to my newage Sti theTyphoon wouldn,t fit. I believe that on other makes of front mount it will fit. I am now using a A.P.S short ram induction kit. Steve.

What are your current charge temps? if they are still well within the safety margins even during hard driving there is no point fitting a FMIC.

If your wanting to do these things chat with a good mapper as you could save yourself some money unless your wanting to push your car for more HP

Car is running fine at the moment, all temps etc are okay,I'm just wanting to get it closer to the 400bhp mark and Simon from Jolly green monster said fmic is my next thing to do with an sti inlet manifold, he can then max my map and get 380/390 hopefully.do just need to know if I have to change my induction to allow fmic to be fitted.

I haven't seen to many people with a typhoon kit and most owners i know have their induction kits fed into the front wing leaving plenty of room for the IC pipework. A shorter pipe for the induction kit might provide more room but couldn't say 100%

What's the best kit for going into the wing then? Do they come "off the shelf" or is it a do it yourself job? I'm thinking if I cut down the Ali pipe on the typhoon and take away the heat shield it comes with I might be able to make enough room

Have you got an sti six speed fitted as your 5 speed gearbox won't last very long at over 350bhp.

They are coming in at good prices at the moment, just wanted to make you aware that it could go pop pretty quickly with the extra power you want. I have just fitted and FMIC to my bug wax and am not going to go much higher than 350/320 to preserve the gearbox.

The induction kit that comes with the Japspeed FMIC works fine although the internal dia of the MAF housing is larger than standard so you need to get the re-map done PDQ (MAF re-scaled)
