Default Been out for a meal and found this.

I was not happy at all this evening, went out for a meal and when I came out found a car parked in my front wing. The bloke was half a sleep or under the influence sitting in the drivers seat and denied doing it. I then said I would phone police to sort it and his attitude changed, got his details then off he went.
Left me with this

Hopefully not to bad to get sorted but got the hassle of sorting it out with insurance. Took some pics of the car parked before he moved it and can get video evidence so hopefully no problem in placing blame. It's just annoying when this happens.
Anyone know if this would blend within the panel or will bonnet and door need painting.

Is it dented anywhere or is it purely paint? Cant make it out in the picture too well as im on the phone. You will get most of that up with a good t cut but don't know if I would bother until insurance has been sorted tbh, I'd be well unhappy walking back to somebody parked on my car, well done for keeping your cool especially if he was sat sleeping in his car, I would be livid

Yes did take a little self control, especially as I have given up smoking so on a short fuse so to speak. Having my parents with me probably helped.
It has dented the wing and the bumper and winglet are scuffed to plastic, but I won't mess with it myself. I just hope it can be blended within the wing and just the wing clear coated as I don't really want the bonnet and door painting if I can help it.
Have the blokes phone number but due to nature of incident think its better to be sorted via insurance as I don't want hassle of trying to get money off people.

At the end of the day that's what insurance is for, if it weren't for twàts like that our insurance wouldn't be so high, he's damaged your car so bôllocks to him stick it through insurance

Its nothing major by the looks, remember you can take the car where you want for the repair so do some research and pick a decent body shop, there is a good guy on here goes by the name of prodriverules, his name is Ryan, have seen nothing but brilliant reviews and his work looks spot on, if your no too far from him (can't see where you are on the phone) would recommend dropping him a line

personly i would have left him sleeping and called the plod, as it would be a lot easier to go to insurance with a ref number from them. ok you got pics but still easy for him to deny it all. also if he was drunk he is better off the roads.

thats sad , i had similar happen to mine rear bumber on corner had been scrapped but these kind of plebs just cant drive and so they feel running is the easiest option, well running is prob the wrong word, driving i mean. its a poor thing to have to find, sometimes when i wash the car i find new scatches. the worst vandelism i had was rambo knife across my bonnet, panel was bent in where he did hes bizz. F O O L

I took some pics of incident that clearly shows I couldn't have parked if he was already there. Also as he drove off after giving me details I reported it to police so hopefully he might get picked up before getting home. There was also some of the staff from the pub outside as they were helping me find the owner as at first I didn't realise he was in the car as car park was dark. Also may have a look at car park cameras see if they caught anything to back it up. I am based near Dudley in the midlands so if anyone can recommend anywhere it would be appreciated, I want it painting properly with everything stripped down not just masked around, I will be checking very closely after any repair and won't pay till happy with it.
When I am on my pc I will up a pic of the car parked, but can't do it from my ipad as his reg number is visible and don't want to put that up.
I am lucky it didn't damage the headlight as being jdm they are not so easy to source

First thing his insurance co will say is deny it
Unless you have witness the sad truth is it will 70/30 go like for like claim
It stinks I know m8 - but you should never let any 1 drive away without having called the local , & if on that phone call they say is any property damaged etc etc - say yes / that way you will always get a panda car to scene - then the all important pc & incident number / other wise like I say it's luck if you get the claim
Hope it does work out for you m8
This kind of ****e really boils my p..s

See if there are any camera's from shops or the council in that area that could have witnessed the incident?

Should of phoned the old bill.

He clearly was unfit to drive and shouldn't of been allowed to leave.

If he hit your car in a car park whats he going to do on the open road!!

Insurance should be fine. By the sounds of it there is enough evidence (staff witness, pictures, possible CCTV) so his insurers won't fight it. It's cheaper to just pay for the damage than spend time & money investigating and going through court if it came to that.

Hope it's sorted quickly for you

Update on this, the third party insurers have admitted liability and will be done, fantastic news and proves a good broker is worth it.

Thats ace that the garage left it in the showroom like that for you! Its like they understand that its your pride and joy, and not just transport, and that you'd be extremely happy to have it back.
