I've just put Uniroyal rainsports on the front of mine, so far so good and a fair price without being budget ditchfinders!

I paid 110 per corner however I've got 235/40/ R18's.Yours should be well under £100.

The potenzas are one of the better tyres IMO for the warmer weather conditions, that's what I run on mine (RE070), however they are less than average IMO in the colder weather, I currently have them on mine and have run them through all the bad wether recently, Lets just say I will never run them again through winter, they don't inspire confidence at all in this cold, damp greasy conditions, that's my out look on it anyway

I haven't had T1R's on my Impreza, but on other cars they have always felt soft and squidgy -ruining how the cars felt to me.

I need two tyres for MOT in 3 weeks

you should put the same on the front as what you've got on the rears, having mixed tyres is not a good idea bud.

Allnewtyres in Macclesfield are cheaper for most tyres than even camskills...and they'll fit if you are near Macclesfield....

I'm looking at Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas. I've heard good things about them and there quite a bit cheaper than F1's which are great but wear quickly.

The Vredestine's **** all over F1's IMO, plus they're a nice quiet tyre too - unlike the noisy Dunlops I currently have
They wore ok on my old MY05STI, when my current tyres on the 330S are gone I will be getting the Vredestine's again

With you on that. I have them all round on my Spec D, and doubt I'll bother again.

Sure, they take away tramlining by 95%, but the walls aren't stiff enough, and create...for me...more body roll.

Never felt too confident in the wet with them either.

RE070's for me next time I think, after all, I find them much much more responsive, stiffer and grippier compound.

Tramlining makes you grab the steering wheel harder, keeps you on your guard, increases the general driving of the Impreza experience.

Good;
Goodyear F1 Assymetric
Kumho Ecsta KU39
Vredestien Sessanta or Cento
Toyo T1R (on my classic they were great)
Yokohama
Falken FK 453

Poor;
Bridgestone - any, had 3 sets (already on car when bought)
Nankan

Check camskill (prices and service) and tyre review.

You can not get RE070 any more, has been replaced by the RE-11 which is not available in the UK

Lots of love for the Vredies, which is surprising

Just I wouldn't go with T1R on the New Age,they're not the best choice on the New Age

Cheers for the info.. They have a very interesting tread pattern, almost like a cut slick. Glad to hear there good in the wet too.

I have T1R-s on the front and Yokahama A306 on the rear, all new the fronts needed replacing and went for the Toyo, they are a bit softer on the side wall but do grip well.
Will be replacing the rears with the same as the Yokahama I fell have less grip
Just my opinion and all have their own preference
