Can't wait!! Mapping on Sunday!
Have my UK WRX Bugeye being mapped by Andy Carr on Sunday - he's pulled out all the stops to do it for me on the weekend ... legend
So far got the following:
VF30 turbo
Denso 500 injectors
WR1 STI intercooler
Walbro 255
Full de-cat
3 port boost solenoid
Just need to find an uprated air filter tomorrow from somewhere local!
Any guesses on what you think it'll make? I want some nice power delivery and plenty of torque (withouth shredding my gearbox - that'll be the next major upgrade).
What do I do about petrol and filling up before Sunday - do I full tank it with the petrol I'll be using from here on in or what? If so - what do you recommend? Is there much different in performance from a mapping for 95 and 99 RON? I need to think about what is readily available from most petrol stations - or can I use some additive in case of putting in a lower octane fuel?

Hi there
I would use fuel which is most comon and easy to buy in your area. But I would use 99RON Tesco T99 or V-power
VF30 are good turbo(usually JDM STi have them as standard/OE) and my guess is around 330-340bhp should be possible on T99/V-Power
What headers you have and what Up pipe you will be running?
Good luck there

I had my type r mapped for 95 ron and V power with a simtec and the difference was 17 bhp, which was not that noticeable tbh.
I'll never map for V power again, it's a pain in the ar$e chasing around after it and always worrying if your going to find some or run out, and i can't tell you how much of a pain it is in europe, a box full of octane booster is bloody expensive too.

Wow!!! Got back this afternoon after Andrew did his magic and all I can say is that the car feels a lot better.
Hit approx 290BHP and 300'ish lb/ft on the torque - this was on normal 95RON petrol. Turns out my NPS is dodgy and so I need to get this replaced. Andy did put a software fix on the ROM to stop the NPS throwing up a Misfire CEL but it seems intermittent.
Will be going to him when he's local next and after I've had the NPS replaced.
Would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody - pulled out all the stops and really know's his stuff.
Just waiting for my graphs so will post them if anybody is interested
Only thing .... now is the car is a lot better it really shows up what I need doing to inspire more confidence in utilising the torque - need some better tyres, maybe better suspension setup as the car didn't seem as sure footed (could be my tyres) and also some better stoppers althgouh I do have braided lines already.
Erm..... let's see what the Scoobynet marketplace throws up!
