Caronte, dealers etc are more than welcome to advertise their products by means of a banner, they can contact webmaster@scoobynet.co.uk for more details.

Simon is the best person to talk to about that.
At the moment, advertisers pay for the banner threads, it would not be fair to start giving other dealers who don't pay to advertise, free reign to advertise their products where they want.

To be honest I cant see any harm in dealers posting in the third party dealers forum a deal of the week, so long as they have a banner advert with scoobynet.

If Scoobynet is NOT a Business that shouldn't create a problem..
Opposite it should encourage dealers to sell just on their thread whereas people who want to be informed objectively on technical staff are free of the thought of being sucked in a promotional issue

Caronte,
Scoobynet is NOT a business, however the money from the banner adds help towards the running costs of the site which is maintained by Simon.
If we allow any dealers to just advertise on a thread, then this would deter current advertisers from paying for banners.
This is why advertising on threads is not allowed.
Hope this helps explain things.
