depends what power you want chap. sc42 will outspool the 20g and do the top end numbers.

Best bet give kev at clinic a bell and tell him the application and he will be able to tell you what is best for what you want, sure they can advise on best spool/power.

apparently the sc38 spools alittle better than the sc42, although don't think theres much in them to be honest. sc42 more power top end ofcourse but you can't fault the sc38.

One of the reasons sc removed the sc40 as the sc38 was generating similiar sort of power of the sc40. Depends what you want mate. Looking at your supporting mods, you have uprated injectors, have a induction, 3" exhaust and if you are after big power then sc42 will be suited for you but so would the sc38

Put it in third then put your foot down.

I really dont understand this lag talk, if your in the correct gear then it wont be laggy at all.

Nope, none at all buddy because I keep the revs up by being in the correct gear.
Any turbo will create lag if your in too higher gear.

its not just about being in the right gear though, for example you might not be hitting 1 bar until 4500 rpm but then on a billet turbo making same power your hitting it at 3200rpm, that means you get more power through the rev range which is useable.

If its a td06 then youve answered your own question. Commonly known to produce boost later in the rev range.
I wouldn't be able to tell the difference but if Andy suspects its an 06 then it more than likely is

Matty he have TD06-20G and those TD06-20G are laggy on 2.0L,on his 2.0L STi TD05-20G will perform much better than this one for sure

SC42 looking like good buy and should perform nice on yours, but would suggest have look for 3 bolt headers GT Spec or WMS headers

Second option is go with MD321 Billet
