Default Need Help on 02 wrx STI

I been offered an 02 WRX STI blobeye in blue with 63k for 4500 which really good price but there no service history for the car as it was repo from finanace company, would you guys go for it,

what putting me off is that if he could not afford the car did he look after it? no service history is bit worrying but what you guys think?

Problem is no service history means the mileage can't really be warranted. Most people would tell you to keep looking as it really is a buyers market.the alternative is you get it for dirt dirt cheap

Now there's a man that knows his subarus and keighley

I've just run that car through my reg checker and it comes back as a

Sti uk pro drive
Full 17 digit vin
It looks by what I'm looking at like a proper sti but as you say theres some parts missing unless for what ever reason it's a re-shell wrong plate on the car many many reasons.

WALK AWAY

well firstly its an 02 plate which is a bug.

then it has wrx skirts and bugeye wing mirrors on.

the carpet on stis are blue not grey, the steering wheel is a wrx item, the sti is grey with sti in the centre.

but the biggest giveaway is the gearknob, it has no lifter to get it into reverse which the 6 speeds have so its a 5 speed box.

the seats are not blob sti either they are bug sti.

its from keighley cars sales so it will be cut and shut, stolen or bodged together from bits. most probably all three.

buy if you want but you have been warned.

the plate possibly belongs to an sti, but i would bet the rest of the car isnt.

its made from bits as a lot of the parts are from different years.
although the bug stis had a grey carpet i think but the blobs all had blue.

the gearbox is the big giveaway

also there is a wrx 300 plaque stuck to the ashtray.

the uk 300 was basically a wrx

The saddest thing is someone will buy it then find it out the costly way or should we say the keighley way

yes, also the seats in this car are bug sti versions.
but the steering wheel is wrx.

its built from bits i would say.

god knows what the engine/box are in it but the lifter to get into reverse is missing indicating a 5 speed
