delay in revs when changing gear

Default delay in revs when changing gear

as title says,theres a delay in the revs dropping when changing gear,iv taken off the idle control valve and cleaned it with no luck.

It sounds like a sticking throttle cable.

Seems quite common this, belive it can not 100% sure but can be fixed by a map tweak

Yes some cars do it more than others.

Bug and blob wrx's seem most prone

it makes the car sound sh*t especially when i accelerate hard.il check the throttle cable see how i get off with that and go from there.

My bug engine speed annoyed the hell out of me on gearchanges.....sometimes the revs would rise

Mapped out in the end

it is annoying i agree with you. if its not the throttle cable it will be going in for a map and see how i get off from there. will keep everyone informed

Any updates for us yet mate going for a tweak soon so thinking about asking my mapper if this can be mapped out also

after a remap my wrx did it.I was told it was the icv.After visiting three specialists @£60-£70 a go it was still the same.I went back to the mapper and it was mapped out at a cost of £120 Problem solved wallet lighter..

Lol least all sorted now mate. What causes this? Does the car feel better/more responsive?

Going to see if mine can be cured but for a £120 ill live with it for now. Will see how it goes next week when I'm
