Pmsl ,
1) don't start by telling anyone on here you're gonna start mapping
2) slag all other mappers off , either here or other forums
3) blow loads and loads of cars up while you're learning ( apparently this happens all the time
Lol

In all seriousness , don't expect much help from other mappers
There is the engine management academy , day courses
I was thinking about it
You are best starting on you're own vehicle then at least if you do drop a bollick , it's not do bad
Also quite a good mechanical knowledge is useful as a lot of issues that can arise when mapping are not what you would say ecu related
There is a lot to learn and it's not somthing you can do in a couple of weeks
Just noticed you're location , if you want to know the very basics , pop round and I'll show you some stuff

And don't feed the customers with a load of bull, be honest and truthfull instead of lining your pocket for the most expensive option.

If your looking at mapping your Scooby yourself try looking at romraider (OS remapping). They have guides on how to understand what your trying to achieve and how to do it using there software.

Thanks for that link, it looks very interesting, may well take the beginners class to that, just so I can understand a little more about what its actually doing and why its doing it, always been fascinated with the management side of a car and that looks rather informative for a beginners class

Cheers
