Sounds ok for a car with a fully forged engine, bits are all ok from the description and looks like plenty of history, worth a look

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2211656864...84.m1438.l2649

Starting bid of £5k is a bit optimistic to say the least, because it's still a wrx.

You could buy the real thing or an STI for that sort of money.

No mention of a 6 speed gear box.

No mention what brakes or suspension and handling mods have been done, standard wrx items not up to the job of stopping and controlling 336bhp.

I'd get a proper list of the mods and get an insurance quote too

Surely its cheaper to insure a fast one out of the box than a slow one made fast

yeah i would think so, listing all the mods to reach a spec of an sti it would be cheaper to insure an sti

It's not so much you as the car when it comes to modded scoobs, they tend to cost significantly more than a standard one running similar power, ie wrx running 300 as opposed to an sti running 300, insurance companies don't like mods and charge accordingly.

You could wind up paying £1500 instead of £500 big difference, when that cash could be used on buying a better car.

That is a fair bit of money for a WRX, which is what it is really. You're paying more because of the work done to make it a replica UK300. The advert is not the best either, and having a picture of the car with a flat tyre would not get my vote mate. Just my opinion pal. And apologies if the owner is on here....

WHAT, not wot, please........

In that photo, was I the only one to notice that the front o/s tyre was flat? If he's run it far like that, that's a new tyre straight away. £100 off the price

Also, all that work, no mention of a remap? Or who did it?
