Default seat belt alarm

Can anyone tell me how to stop the seat belt alarm cos the manual says it goes off after 15 sec but mine seems to go on for ages I can see the cable that goes into the clip bit but don't want to cut it in case the alarm stays on even with the belt clipped in

Then bloody just wear it, safety comes first, what if someone crashes into you and you have no belt on think of the extra harm it will cause you, unless you are medical exempt.

Same here - obviously if you feel that can't drive your car without crashing it, then you should do what everyone else says/does and wear your safety belt at all times. You know - health and safety and so on.
There is supposed to be some method for electronically disabling the alarm, but I couldn't get it to work, though I did manage to do it on my MR2.
I wonder if it can be mapped out?
