Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5 Turbo 55 Plate
Basicaly would like some advice please. I have been out and test driven a 55 plate WRX, its for sale on the dealers web site as a turbo. The engine has a intercooler right under the bonnet scoop.
I could not see no boost gagues in the car and could not feel any boost when acelerating. The car did not feel fast like the cars i have previously been in.
Is there a way to know if this indeed has a turbo? and not the 2.5 non turbo version.
It does not have the deep growel of the turbo versions i have herd iether. I realy want to buy this car but dont think it is what it should be. It has only done 34k and is in prestene condition.

HPI check??
It's a 2.5 so the power delivery is smoother and if it's standard then they don't set the world on fire or sound like the 2.0l.
change the exhaust and get it remapped by a reputable mapper off here and it will totally transform it into a fire breathing monster you desire, lol.

Hiya mate thanks for the reply, yeah it has had a hpi check by the dealer tho i looked at it before i drove the car. Ill get one now and see what it says.

I went from a 2.0l to the 2.5l and wasn't impressed at all. Changed the exhaust, decatted the downpipe, swapped panel filter + remap - made 267/326. Totally transformed the car. I now run 342/410. I'll never go back to 2.0- would miss the torque. I say go for it

Thanks will do, just sat on my fingers till 9am when the finace company open. I owe a few quid on my fiesta st but im sure they will transfer the rest ontop of this. If not im of to the bank for 5K loan.

Sorry for all the questions guys but could anyone tell me about the spoiler. I have never seen one like this before, and thats why i have fell in love with the car. Is it standard or is it a limited edition ect. Or is this something someone has put on that you can buy.
Realy stands out and looks amazing.
On they key ring there is a metal plate with a number on it, just wounderd.

That's an after market wrc spoiler m8, I have the same motor in an o7 2.5 sti these cars shift, when I drive other cars now its like I'm not moving anywhere, if in doubt flat out lol, definitely exotic these

Looks like it will be the higher VED bracket though. Cheap price though, makes you wonder why they have knocked £2k off. Maybe cant shift it so you may be able to drive the price even lower if you can get the cash in hand.

Just did got them down to 4700, im so exited right now. Have to go bed now i work nights. They ringing me at 5 to sighn for it.
I finaly own a impreza turbo whoot whoot!!

Make sure it's what you want, it sounds like It, but they are very expensive, insurance is high, added fuel costs (99ron) over the st, they need servicing regular, need decent tyres, you will want a remap and a few extras to get the noise and speed you wanted. Some 2.5's have engine issues (then again any car can go wrong at any time)

I cant see the pic if so is it a 2005 car. if so it will be the cheaper tax if registered before march 2006

Nice - I'd been watching this one on autotrader as well - IMO change the rear spoiler and you've got a great looking car there (very jealous).

My girlfriend has hit the roof and well not happy. They rang the house phone when i was in bed. I have till monday to win her over. The car is not going anywhere and im the only one interested in the car. The finance have given the nod if i want it.
The exhaust does not look standard, it looks like the jap speed one for like £240. It has no bass and does not sound deep. I would defo be changing it if i can get her on side.
