i hate to say these steve, but i had a 1.7 puma, and now have a ppp my00.
pound for pound, the puma is the better car IMHO.
the ppp car is nearly foolproof, and almost takes some of the fun out of it. sounds daft i know.
the puma, well, i thrashed it everywhere, it was a hoot! no, not quick like a scoob, but it was fun!
oh, and dont believe everything you hear about great scooby build quality! mines is crap!! especially the interior. ask pete about the underseal

Cool

Steve
You are quite right, scoobs are the best!
My scoob in particular is the best at:
1)Guzzling fuel
2)Costing a fortune to run
3)Having possibly the rattliest, squeakiest, most plasticky interior of ANY car I've ever had!
4)Attracting 'Nova boys' and Mr Plod in equal measure
5)Making me paranoid about leaving it ANYWHERE!

...BUT!
When I turn the key, listen to that exhaust note, and press the 'go' pedal, it more than makes up for ANY of the above!

Enjoy your scoob!

Leigh

Steve,

I had a Puma a couple of years ago - and thought it was fantastic. Great little car to drive and own.

My wife was about to buy a Puma Black a couple of weeks ago but has gone for the new Peugeot 206 CC (5 months leadtime though )

I got a MY99 four weeks ago and I continually get blown away by it. Amazing car and it doesn't seem to drink fuel the way other peoples tend to. I get 24 - 28 mpg on average. Which I think is AMAZING for a car that does 0-60 in 5.3sec.

You WILL enjoy the Scoob - guaranteed

Thumbs up

Scoob's brilliant

If you know what sort of car it is before you buy.... You CAN'T complain at the fuel consumption! - If you do 80k miles ayear and are strapped for cash don't buy one. If you want an extreme-fun drivers car that will also take 3 (small) kids and enough luggage for a weeks holiday - you CAN'T beat it

Had mine for 2 years now and still turn to give it a last look when walking away after parking
