Default Sports cat!! any recommendations??

hi guys!!
In the new year I'm going to start modding my standard blob sti, the mods I've got in mind so far are: up rated fuel pump, up rated panel filter, cat back exhaust (milltek or h&s not decided yet) a sports cat for mot reasons and a remap.
Anyone got any recommendations on a good sports cat?? I've seen quite a few on line (cobra, milltec, h&s, ninja etc) all are different in price. is it as simple as paying for quality??

also i was hoping for around 320 bhp with these mods, is this possible??

thanks sam

I'd recommend the Prodrive sports cat, Mine always flew through the MOT.

My experience also. Last 3 MOTs have all fared well with only the Prodrive Sportcat on.

I have got a Miltek on my bugeye and the sports car is in the mid section. Needs warming up before the emissions test but always passes.

It replaces the downpipe cat.

The standard prodrive is not really a sport cat. I'm using the japspeed 100cell.

My car only had one cat in the down pipe from standard and the japspeed 100cell replaces that. My car passes the MOT ok but i do need to get some heat into it to pass the emission test.

Not sure if it means anything but the prodrive cat that was fitted to my RB320 has C7 stamp0ed on it. According to my mapper there not strictly speaking a sport cat.

Prodrive Sports CAT fitted to mine. No problems with it.

In answer to your question about the power, I'm running the same setup on mine and it was logged as running 325bhp during mapping.

Its in the downpipe, and I can recommend the prodrive sports cat also.
Plus, in N.Ireland we have government controlled MOT centres, so we're a bit more strict over here and my old blob sailed through.

My old blob was PPP'd and subsequently remapped by Andy Forrest, it made 335bhp
Get a fresh set of plugs in there too.

I've got a 3" Milltek downpipe and centre section with a sports cat in the middle section, check the for sale items and feel free to make me an offer

Do not under any circumstances buy the Zero Sports Sports cat. It's utter dog Sh*t as are the rest of their products.
