\Hello all, what options are avaliable to me in terms of engine builds for a scdb sti8 lump, i've done a bit of research and it seems i can use either an sti9 ej20 nitrided crank or a longer stroke 79mm ej25 crank.
I'm going to be buying a brank new crank and 93mm forged pistons due to mine being shot and i already have a set of forged ej20 Manley rods sitting here waiting to be fitted, now before i go and buy any bits i'd like to see what options are avaliable to me.
I wouldn't mind going 2.1, is it just a case of fitting a 79mm ej25 crank and 93mm pistons to achieve this? if so does anyone know what size head gaskets i'd need to fit to use this setup using a 8.5:1 comp ratio?
What proven builds have people done and what was used in the build?

You can use 79mm crank with longer rods, or standard rod size with stroker pistons. The block will also need the rear thrust conversion to take the crank.

It won't need a rear thrust conversion if its a V8 semi closed deck block.

cool, well the manley rods i have are standard size so i'll need stroker pistons then. the block is a rear thrust scdb so no probs there
