Default Roof Flap Fitted

Hi All,
Finally got my roof flap fitted to my 96STI today. Was going to do this myself but Stewart at RWS near Nottingham offered to do it when I had some bodywork done recently & as Iv not had chance it saved me the nail biting moment of cutting my roof.
Have to say it's a great job, looks factory fitted, & the kit supplied by the Trooper was all there & in perfect condition.

Should of got a picture but I left just before he cut the hole & came back after. Not that I was scared to watch, just had things to do.

I felt a bit like that but as soon as I saw the finished job I realised it's one of the best mods you can do, looks awesome, pictures just don't do it justice.

Can't be fitted too far back, as the interior trim & brackets only go in one place & they line up perfectly with the flap. Probably deceptive as not the best pics.

Lol that's not entirely true, especially on a classic. There's quite a margin to ***** up a classic one, less on a newage.

One of my favourite jobs to do, looks good.

I am not having a pop, it's up to you what you do with your car, but, why do you need a roof flap?
Surely if you open it up the mouth is at the front and will be an insect scoop when driving.
Personally I don't see how it can be one of the best mods you can do.

The amount of air it lets in compared to having the windows open is worlds apart and on trackdays you cant drive with the windows open.

Exactly, & as I had to bin the AC earlier this year to make room under the bonnet a roof flap makes perfect sense to me. Won't get chance to try it on track until next summer, but it looks great.
