Suspension top mount issue
Today i got my new kyb struts and tein springs for my type r but they came with no top mounts, so i took 1 top mount off 1 of the existing rear hks coilovers and put it on the new kyb strut but then realised that the topmount is smaller than the inside of the tein spring so it isnt clamping down on the spring.
Can i still fit these to the car with the spring butting up directly to the under side of the turret or should i get the correct top mounts the actually covers the spring ?

Yup, agree with Jura. The top mounts on coilovers (usually adjustable camber plates) are not compatible with the large diameter standard springs used with standard struts. You will need to get a bunch of parts to get them to work properly (upper spring pan, dustboot, conical washer(for the front), bumptops, standard top mount or whiteline Com-C. The rears will require dustboot, bumpstops and rear standard top mounts). Easiest is to buy a used set of full strut assemblies and take the parts of of those.
