Default Steering Wheel

I currently have this type steering wheel (below) fitted to my 02 UK STI

Want to know if this type. (Below) will fit and can it be confirmed that it is smaller than the original? Told That it is slightly smaller, couple of inches in diameter.

The 1st pic is from a wrx and the 2nd should already be fitted to your car? The Sti with air bag is about £50-£90 including air bag
But size wise I'm not shore

Mine is a UK 02 STI and the first wheel apparently is the correct one that is fitted, the second one was on 03 and later?

The first is from an earlier model as I have one in my bug sti the second is from a blob sti pretty sure it is smaller as my mate has one in his blob sti would also like to know if its a straight swap as they are a much better looking wheel

Yes, the newer one should be a directswap. The only thing that may cause an issue is the clockspring/spinner which will likely be a different fitment on the back of the steering wheel airbag. Just get one with the spinner included. These come up in the for sale section sometimes - I think there's one there now.

J pascoe - you're not called Jason by chance?

Try this mate it helped me when I did this swap in my Bugeye

https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-40/489336-new-age-steering-wheel-onto-classic.html

Kept the same airbag charge which kept things simple other then that it was a straight forward swap
