Default Tyre sizes

Can anyone confirm if my 2005MY Type 20 (JDM Blob STi, widetrack, DCCD) should have 225/45/17 or 235/45/17 tyres please?

It has 235s at present, but the tyre pressure plate on the door shut and the owner's manual only talk about 225s.

I've ben told that the JDMs had 235s, but I want to make sure I get the right size.

Thanks for any help.

JDM STIs (widetrack blob and later cars) come with 235/45R17 tyres.

You're probably looking at the owner's manual for the uk/euro model. But it's strange that the sticker only shows 225. My JDM hawk clearly shows 235.

Thanks for that. The owner's manual only lists US & Canada models (and talks about 'tires', although that might be standard in every country) so it isn't the UK version. It has 'Issued February 2003, Printed in USA' on the back, but includes the DCCD.

But yes, all I've got is 225 width 'tires' listed in the manual and on the plate.

I'm about to buy four new ones, which is a fair amount of cash, so I want to get it right.

Yeah, that's the manual for the export version which is pretty much everywhere else other than Japan.

235 it is for JDM blob widetrack.

Great, I thought I probably needed the 235s, but thanks for confirming it.
