Default Aerotwin wiperblades for newage Scoob.

Hey all!

I expect this has been done before but just incase anyone was interested this is what aerotwins look like on a newage scoob.

Bosch part numbers AR22U and AR17U (for blobeyes)

In my opinion they are much better than standard blades.

Hey Dan!

Aside from road tax and an air freshener they are the first thing I've got for this lol.

I don't want to change much, I am taking part in the group buy for a front splitter and I might be in the market for some PFF7 alloys.

Other than that this beast is perfect! I will do a photoshoot when its all clean and waxed. =)

On a sidenote, when go over rough/bumpy ground I get a sort of creaky noise coming from either the corner of the windscreen or the back of the dash.

Anyone else had this kind of rattle/creak?

Or is it a factory standard rattle =D

I'm sure it will be a hole in my pocket but what it takes in money it gives back in smiles right =)

I might get some sintered pads, my battery was getting drained to the point where I could barely start the car then I was told to just leave the sidelights on all the time so the "smart" (lol) alternator would do its job.

If my alternator starts to do its job I will install my sub and a double din screen.

Fingers crossed!

Speakers? I thought these came with a small group of hamsters that lived in the doors and played music live on demand.

On the wiper blades, i've tried a couple of sets of the Aerotwins & some Ebay flat wipers & they all seem to miss on a certain section of the windscreen.
On the drivers side, it's about mid wipe just in the lower eyeliner.
On the passenger side, it's the top couple of inches of the blade. It just doesn't seem to touch the screen!

Anyone else noticed this on a Hawkeye?

Bosch for the win, unless the hawkeye screen is vastly different I don't see any reason why you would have issues.

I'm running bridgestone potenzas, anyone know how they compare to the eagle f1s?

Excellent mate.

I bought up a load of BOSCH Aero Baldes from Cheam Motors when they were closing. I'm on my last set now so looking at replacements.

Cheers for posting up.

Funny you should say this.
I bought my blobeye spec C just over a year ago and had these fitted. They have been great up untill a couple of months ago where they started to miss/smear in the middle.

I haven't actually checked
I've only run them for about 1200 miles, with a full day out with the Welsh lads over the Brecon Beacons & Black mountain & saying they're a summer tyre.... I was amazed how well they performed in the wet & pouring rain!
They never once felt like they were going to give up their grip & it was quite spirited at times

@ stevie, as Dan says they are just smoother over the screen they make perfect contact and no noise.

Give them a go I can only vouch for the Bosch ones, I'm **** about a clear windscreen and I love these blades.

You may, and to answer I will say I don't know I was after the best road/track tyre I could purchase for under £1500 and they fell nicely in budget along with R888 but friend has them on his Astra 888 and I wasn't ya impressed with the feel, could have been the at letting them down tho

With the high tech LSD and AWD, I would be more comfortable with budget tyres (proxies for example) on a Scooby than a high powered FWD car. But then I don't push the car to its limits so I don't really need the best of the best.

When my Bridgestone potenzas are dead I will most likely get good old proxies.

Good feedback & don't seem to want to let go but maybe I need to try harder You can really lean on them in the corners, something the same size Vredestein Sesstanta tyres couldn't do & appeared stretched! There's a lot more rubber actually in contact with the road & they have decent rim protection. They're also not too noisy!

I paid £780 for the x4 AD08's delivered the next day & a mate fitted them!
