Few nods advice please
I have brought some items for my 99 uk classic , decat down pipe. 255 fuel pump, induction kit,and a remapped ecu with print out. They were fitted to a car which was written off but it had a vf 28 turbo too.If i was to put these on my car plus a vf 28 turbo, would it be ok not remap has the ecu i am changing was remapped for this package.
Also would it be ok to fit the fuel pump, downpipe, and induction kit first without remap until i can get hold of a vf 28 turbo. Then i would change the ecu for remapped one. Thanks

Tell him to keep his 'remapped' ecu and have yours custom mapped to suit your car. Every car is different so an ecu from one car even with the same mods isn't ideal.
If his ecu has been mapped then it will be via ecutek. This means the ecu will have a license on it, you could buy that ecu and have it mapped again on your car if he doesn't want much for it. The license costs about £150 so if he wants circa £100 for it then its worth a punt. That's if it definately is mapped, me personally, just have yours done.
Buy all the bits you want,
Store away,
Book mapping session,
Fit all the bits a couple of days before mapping.

The remap and fuel pump where done at scooby clinc i have the recipts and dyno print out for them. The ecu has no license stamp on it, told scoobyclinc dont Stamp them. Its a y7 ecu mine is a e3 but sure they are interchangeable.
my plan is to fit downpipe, pump, and filter in my ecu, then fit vf28 and mapped ecu at later date.
I understand all cars are different, but surley the mapped ecu wont be that far out, and it must be alot better thn mt standard one.
