Hi all,

Its looking like I will need to chauffer my two (medium size) dogs using my Scooby, now initially I thought I would need to change my saloon for a wagon in order to do this on a regular basis. However I got thinking and realised I might be able to carry them in the boot with the use of a dog guard with the rear seats folded down. 1 problem, is that the rear seats don’t fold down! I believe that wagon seats do fold down, so could in theory fit these in order to run with the set up I describe. I am not sure if the rear seats folded will give enough natural light though.

Clutching at straws I know but have any other saloon owners got round this? (I suspect not!)

I may have to bite the bullet and swap for a wagon!

not just remove the back seats for a while until you sort something out?
I dont think Wagon rear seats will work in the saloon, and I know for difinite Saloon seats wont sit into my wagon without major work!!!

I went to pets at home and brought a rear seat sheet. Its just a thick sheet that covers the whole of the back of a saloon and rises up inbetween the front sears to stop the dogs trying to get into the front.

That worked for my Basset Hound...

Now I have a Wagon though. Its a good short term option but for frequent journeys it gets annoying setting it up repeatedly.

That's the main reason I bought a wagon, is it a hammock you bought? As I belive that's the best option for you ATM.

Yes, its like a hammock but saggy enough to rest on the seats rather than suspending the dog.

How did you attach it inside the cabin as there are no headrests? Did you rest it on the back seats?

I got a wagon instead of a saloon for this reason . But if you worried about them jumping all over the place in you saloon then I can recommend the dog harness with seat belt attachment .

Thanks for all the input its been helpful - at least i am now confident i wont need to switch to a wagon
