Default 6 Months no part or no calls from Subaru dealer

Done three 60 mile round trips and on the day of fitment they had the wrong part sent over from Japan. Was told I'd get a call, but 6 months on and not a sniff

The dealer is a main Subaru dealer and service has been somewhat **** poor, however the technician who has worked on the car has always been helpful.

It's cost me £50 to have the car diagnosed and about £100 in petrol back and forth should I throw the towel in and try else where or contact the MD?

Can't really take the car else where other than to another main dealer to get the part, by rights it should be replaced under warranty, but it's a Jap import

Default JDM parts

Talk to RCM, they'll get the correct part, quicker than 6 months!

I will go to RCM if I don't get anywhere, but I rang Bluebridge and spoke to the same guy on reception "Mike" knows who I am as he was dealing with me, but pretended to go on like he didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Said he will chase it up for me and get back to me and guess what no call back. Will give it until Monday and then speak to the MD or Subaru UK.

I've found the main dealers to be less than helpful after you tell them it's a jap import.
One dealer even tried telling me that the roof trim clips are different on a jap import and that they would probably not be able to get them...****...
But guess what, went to another main dealer and they are identical to any other model, and in stock. Funny that....

Can import car parts not help you buddy ??

Unfortunately not, it's one of those parts that has to come from a main dealer, the manager has been very helpful and said he will have it all sorted for me by next week.

You sure Neil? The JDM car has a quick rack I would imagine the sensor to be programmed differently?

GTR Crook why don't you go a build some more engines in Ross's Shed and jog on

100% - you're right in that there is different programming to allow for the JDM's quick rack but it's not in the sensor.

Shoot me a PM if you want the long winded version!

Cheers, Neil
