The plate was probably brought of the DVLA for £250
including 80 tranfer fee its nice but there are others, check out dvla site and all prices are prices to put on the car ie no extras. You cant make a car look newer than it is though so you cant out put an X plate on a W reg car for example but can can put older ones on.

These are the ones I found which are still available.

http://www.dvla-som.co.uk/search/search.php

£250
J300 SUB
L300 SUB
M300 SUB
N300 SUB
R300 SUB
T300 SUB

£399
V300 SUB
W300 SUB

£499
X300 SUB

Not sure on the price of the car but the PPP cost 1600 on top of list.

Andy, got a UK300 with PPP and a few other bits, I have been offered between 20-21K on trade in against a new STI, and been advised by some dealers that for a straight sale anything between 17 - 19 ish. Got a similar no plate, but it does not seem to add anything to the value, or so they would lead us to believe

I have seen Uk300's being offered on autotrader privately between 22-24K, normally averaging though about 6K on the clock. The trouble is what the are offered at to what you get is another thing

Cheers

Thumbs down

UK300 = 0 value for money at the mo, with the sti7 out its value will Plumet big style (losses of 4k noted within 6months of release and notification of the STI7) so id not expect anything over 20k, if so id pay the extra and get a much better car and buy the STI as its more involving than a tarted up WRX which the UK300 is.

Tony, dealers are offering 20-21 for trade in on STI, I have had that offer from 2 dealers in the south east in the last month.

It might be a tart, but it gets noticed for all the right reasons
and no doubt will not be as common as your sti very shortly Even though I would love to have a sti, I am not going to take 5-6K hit for a simple trade up, especially when there is talk of the whole range being revamped, I wonder what that will do for resale prices on all the current models

So getting back to the point of the thread, UK300s are priced from anything from 17 + direct sale to subaru, 20ish on trade in, 22-24K on a subaru forecourt and in autotrader, however I am not suggesting you will get anything like 24 for it, but its worth a try

Cheers

Wink

Private plate wise you are looking at a very target audience ie 300 impreza owners. Most of these probably wont be into private plates and with all the other 300 SUB and 300 WRX and people initials, made up words etc. I doubt its worth much than was payed for it. Look at this way woudl you spend £1000 on it knowing you could get T300 SUB for £250

plates worth £200- the DVLA can leave their £250 plates on the web site forever- if you want to sell you will need to price accordingly and its a pretty non-spectacular plate even if you have a UK300 (bear in mind no one knows what a uk300 is- its not like having JAG/TVR/BMW etc on your plate)
