Default gc8 plastic petrol tank?

I think that the standard metalic tank is dangerous for motorsport........ Anyone knows if have any other option in the standard placement?

Thanks

Why? There are probably many hundreds built in to competition cars around the world that never have problems. Plenty here though http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motors...el-tanks-cells

If you go out of the track (rally track) and something cut the tank... fire and more fire... Or not?

I think that the best position is the original position (low and in front of the rear wheels) Any imprezas have plastic tank?

That's where the Kevlar tank bags sit...

Not sure plastic tanks are road legal...or would be any stronger.

Boot mounted cell with proper firewall would be my choice.

I know cars like the golf mk2 that have plastic tank.
The problem is not the strong of the tank, the problem is if any thing cut the tank and make "sparks" .

Sparks dont ignite petrol. You can extinguish a lit cigarette in a tank of petrol.

The strong of the tank is more than sufficient, especially when kevlar protection is fitted. If thats not enough for you, then fit a fuel cell and firewall in the vehicles boot.

Youve been watching too much Starsky & Hutch amigo.
