Okay so the past week ive noticed a low pitch whistling noise which i can hear inside the car, it gets higher in pitch when accelerating and then lower again when decelerating. its a 2000 facelift classic sport.

Does it happen when you rev the engine in Neutral?

More likely to be the window seals, or try it with your stereo switched off.

Check the level of the power steering fluid. I had that happen in my Celica GT4. The pump got noisy. Or it could be a failing/failed cambelt tensioner or the alternator.

Its the pipe between the exhaust headers(manifold) and the turbo. Its located on the o/s of the car. Be careful. Gets very hot. It may not be the up-pipe but ive known a few blow and they make a very high pitch whistle
