If its completely standard then you won't get a great deal if you do break it chap. Engine is goosed so that's a large amount ruled out. Box is only worth a few hundred and stuff like the brakes aren't worth much.
It's a massive job to break a car and you'll be left with loads of bits people don't want and end up taking them down the dump.
The shell is worth the most, a grand is about right unless it's absolutey perfect then it'll bring a bit more.
People don't want standard bits unfortunately, uprated parts are what sell which is why so many big spec cars are getting broken lately.
Best bet, stick another motor in it and keep it.

I think Matty's estimate is about right sadly.
With engine running right you would be looking at nearer £4k IMO! (with service history to back up 'minter' )
Shame to hear it, just done the head on mine, decided to throw a better lump in it... resale value and all in mind!
Good luck... and if you do break it you are in the right place to sell the bits.

Shells got to be worth £1k,
4 pots, £100
2 pot rears £200
Interior £250
Suspension £100+
Gearbox £400
Wheels?
Exhaust?
Dash?
Boot £50
Spoiler £30
Front end £200 / £400 (depending on shape)
Then there are all the little bits....
IMO you have got more than £2k in bits there pal. Obv all dependent on condition, having buyers etc.... if you dot get what you want offerwise, get it in the breaking section!

Let's say he makes £2500 after breaking it.
Is all the hassle really worth that extra £500 ? All the bits left over that you've got to chuck, all the mess with parts everywhere, all the time taken up stripping it, wrapping of parts and then the messing around when sending them. All that when you could sell the thing as a whole for 2 grand.
I know what I'd be doing
