Default Oil and plugs opinions

I know this has been done to the death, but everyone had different uses and power all the time.

I have a Bug WRX, 3'' decat, panel filter, pump etc etc, so am not pushing anymore than about 280bhp, I may put a VF35 on shortly.

Firstly I need to change the oil and plugs since I bought the car from someone who could have put anything in it after finding some of the things he did.....

I have come to: Link here

I have opted for 5w-40 as (correct me if I am wrong) it should give me some better cold start protection since I use the car everyday. 10w-50 and 10w-60 and far too high spec for my car I feel.

Anyone agree with this choice or should I go for the CFS instead? or a different one altogether? (if so, why a different viscosity)

Next, the plugs - I have no idea here so opinions away please.

Cheers,

Knotty.

NGK PFR6B plugs will be fine. Have you had it remapped with the mods?

I'd go with NGK PFR7b's if you are running a VF35. As for oil I'd contact opie oils or Alyn at www.asperformance.com to see if they have anything on special offer.

As an alternative oil brand (same viscosity) euro car parts are doing another special offer with 30% off at the moment . Shell helix is around £26 delivered

Default Opieoils generally more expensive than oilman or demonoils

I generally find that oilman and demonoils offer much better value than Opieoils
