Loosing faith
#1
Help! I've had my scooby for +3 years now. However recently my wife and daughter have been protesting that it's expensive, rough and noisy and want me to get rid of it. I must admit I tend to agree with them what with all the running expenses - servicing, tyres, insurance etc. But I still love it to bits!
My mind is saying it has to go, but my heart is saying it has to stay.
I'm loosing faith, please help me decide - what should I do?!

Just be thankful Richard didn't suggest buying an elise and losing the kid!
More seriously, how about a boring reliable economical diesel for the daily grind and a caterham/other for the weekend? Surprisingly, people have found this cheaper than keeping the scooby..

Having been without my Scoob for 1 1/2 weeks, I personally wouldn't recommend getting rid - you'd only regret it
Is a 7 possible? Ment to be alot more refined? (at least that's what I've heard - havn't had a chance to get in one yet!)

Since you are on a scooby forum then generaly the answer is gonna be keep it, so I would say that you are gonna keep it cos if you wern't you would have put it on a forum for hungry house wives.

tell the wife to get her own licence and then she can drive what ever she likes and if she already has a licence then buy her a car to drive.

Take your wife for a test drive in an Evo. Say you are thinking of one as a replacement. She will hate the ride, tell her it needs servicing every 4500 miles, insurance is double and it eats tyres, brake pads and clutches. She will then beg you to keep the Scooby
Only problem with this idea is you might fall in love with the Evo and that will end in divorce!
