Default Noob alert. Saying Hi.

So, i've broke the bank and bought my first subaru. Bought it off my boss, who has had it for 12 years and i plan to keep it as long too. it could take me that long to insure it ha (i'm 20, so insurance companies sh*t themselves when you mention 'subaru'... quotes of like £5-6000!!). She needs a bit of tlc, but i've got the next year or two or three to work on it and rebuild the car to pristine show car condition. Already got all the plans laid out, might start off a project thread soon too.

At the moment shes running 350hp-ish, got a dyno print out somewhere but probably could do with a fresh dyno run before i start stating how much power i got :P feels quick enough for me anyway!

anyway, i know ill be using the forum quite a bit, there is a load of quality info on here, just seen a AP 4 pot caliper rebuild thread which is gunna be my first priority.

heres some photos, there will be more on the way soon.

cheers, Lee.

that offside sill is the worst part, but there are bubbles in the paint across the whole offside, and a bit on the boot, and then bit of laquer off on nearside front wing. Im looking forward to starting the project! she is a beaut tho, can't stop smiling when i sit in it

Hi mate and welcome to SNET. Nice car you have!

Also insurance of 5-600 doesn't sound bad at 20!! I'm paying £600 and I'm 26 lol

Nah i meant 5000. When i win euromillions this friday... 8-l I'll make an insurance company that will quote us young drivers. i been driving for almost 4 years and im still classed as inexperienced drivers...and will be til im 25. Its a load of b*llocks! But thats another topic so not gunna get too angry about it.

yeah i know how i want it, just little things init. There's not many 2 doors about round where i am. Im thinking about changing the headlights though, for some original ones. And the engine bay is gunna be well n truly tarted up.
