Default Which Subaru!

I am looking to buy a WRX estate Subaru, which Is better, the classic square shape, or the bog eyed version, as I have a limited budget, and I have never owned a Subaru before!

Which is better in what respect performance, reliability, looks?

Go and test drive and few and see which one you like , people have personal preferences.

Bog eyed version lol. The newer cars are generally better, so, go and buy a bug, unless you really want a classic.

New age more refinded and a lot more modern inside

Classic is raw with that throw you back on the seat feeling basic ,noisy but an amazing driving experience for a weekend

Default info on wrx estates

The car will be used for a bit if enjoyment, and I want an estate to use on occasions as a family car, so any info on reliability, performance, comfort, insurance etc. Is most welcome, maybe a budget up to 3k to 4k?

3-4k should get you a tidy blobeye (03 onwards). I paid just over £2k for an 03 blobeye wagon with 124k but mint with FSH.

Reliability is very good - provided it hasn't been messed around with - buy a standard one...then get it mapped

Performance depends what you are used to, the standard 225 bhp will put most hot hatches in the shade.

Interior is old fashioned but very well put together, comfortable seats.

Insurance can be very high but depends on your age..

2k for a blobeye???
If you want a mint low mileage example then a bug should see you with your 3-4k budget or if you go above 4k and have a bit more then you can go with 54 onwards and get a facelift dash interior model and maybe find a sunroof and leather option.
Regards

Ok mine was a bit of a bargain, but the mileage is high which would have put most off (doesnt put me off at all)

But there were quite a few 03 / 04's around under £3k when I was looking.

This could probably had for not much over £2k.

91k not too bad for a 9 year old car.
