Default Advice needed...

I have a 95 import running 300bhp and only gettin between 100-120 miles from a tank around town, the mrs drives it daily to work and only does about 10 miles a day. It's a 2.0 sti 4 engine, yellow injectors, hks induction and bov, tdo5, walbro fuel pump,3" straight through de-cat, and a Simtek map. What mileage should I be getting and why aren't I?

Your car is a manual right? there are 4 other gears!

Seriously though, are you always in 3rd gear ? town driving does sap fuel but keeping it in as low revving gear as possible.

Thats definately low, the worst I had was 120 to a tank but that was during a track weekend.

I'd get it to someone who can check the map/fuelling etc. You should be getting around 180-250 town driving, as long as its warmed up correctly before driving. Best I managed on a run was 28mpg, average round town was high teens.

Might be worthwhile getting the emissions tested on a RR then, definitely something wrong. My 01 bug wrx is just over 300 horsies and still returns around 200 per tank on my daily 5 mile total to and from work combined. The engine doesnt even get fully warmed up sometimes if traffic is moving well. Best runs were well over 300 miles to each tank but involved long drives at 70mph steady.

lots of small journeys are a killer for all cars, if its less than 5 miles each journey that would explain it otherwise i would be looking for a leak.
