Default Change to TD05 20G Turbo?

Howdy fellas, I'm new on here but have been browsing for a while. I have owned a classic scoob for 3 years then I sold it and bought a Hawk Sti. I'm having some turbo trouble which I have been told it could be a crack in the housing, hence losing some power. I was thinking of upgrading the turbo to a mitsubishi TD05 20G which I have been looking around for new or second hand. Massive difference in price so I'm temped to go used. Is there anything I should insist on and is it worth doing? I dont want to fiddle with anything else. The car has a Miltek sports cat, ecutek remap, k&N filter running at 325bhp. What else would I need to fit it on?

Cheers for any advice.

Dont buy any from ebay unless they can prove its a real 20G and not a crappy copy!

Budget for a map tweak at the very least.

What injectors are you using?

make sure its the real thing, as they say u get what u pay for!, could be a costly mistake. also remap, perhaps a better ecu alcatek ( simtek) that might see some more power, plus u get 2 maps one for fun and the other for economy. try thwaites- warwick nice chap, seems like he gives good advice and will go extra mile for costumer support.

are the hawks 2.5 or 2, not very good with newages. 20g probably very good on a 2.5, 18g very good on a 2l all imo
