Has anyone bought from somewhere like motorpoint or trade sales?

Im planning on doing so very soon, but would like to see if there are any satisfied customers out there? - or dissatisfied?

Is there anything I should be looking out for particularly? bucket seats and underseal seem to be the things Ive heard. Any comments/experiences welcome.. Andy

I was going to buy from a supermarket in Derby until I discovered the cars were sourced outside the EU. Make sure you get an EU car and you should not have any warranty problems, Holland & Belgium seem to get the best votes.

ADP have you not considered buying direct and saving even more ££££'s.It's no more hassle believe me, maybe just a longer wait.

..and just to keep things related to your question, I think the only concern (apart from paying more than direct) is what si mentioned.

quote from m1cassels in another post:
but Trade Sales supplied the car without a book and nobody else will supply them (they lied to me and said it was an EU import, but later admitted it was not).

Dealer in Perth Subaru Town and Country, point blank refused to service it

ah bummer, well it was, not now though I guess

Try Litchfield's there's a link in the link I posted earlier, definitely worth considering over any supermarket, Ian's a scooby fan himself and they offer a lot of after market options all covered under their 3 year warranty. It looks by far the best deal for a quick fix.

Cool

Bought a Focus from Trade-Sales. No complaints at all - paid £10k for a car with a list of £14.5k.
Not the smarmiest service, and only 1 year warranty but for that saving I couldn't care less

Well lane looks good(though 200 miles plus away), but I live about 10 mins from trade sales so its a shame they seem to have a bad rep for Scoobies. Maybe I could agree to hand over the cash only on receipt of all the appropriate gubbins?

Just ask them point blank wher their Scoobs are sourced. If they can confirm 100% in writing that it's Europe (ie Belgium or Holland) then you should be OK. Otherwise, walk away - it's not worth the hassle.

I tried them last August when out last car (not a Scoob) was hit by a third party - and ended up ordering a MY02 WRX wagon from Alain Knockaert in Ypres, Belgium. Much cheaper, better service, proper documents and the wait soon passed (only 4 months)......
