Admiral are young driver friendly.

A 17 year old lad at my work has a tracking device fitted to his car where the insurance company and follow his every move, it also stops him from driving his car after 11pm. It dropped the price of premium from around £4k to less than 2k.

the cheapest is co-op,but they want a box fitting that tracks the drivers speeds and times of use,i tried everywhere for my lad and this system was by far the cheapest, and it does make them think twice about driving like a lunatic

Try Quinn Direct, I used them when I was 18 (now 21) I was paying about £750 for a 1.2 Clio

Right now im with Asda for my 1999 Turbo 2000 and that's about £1500 which for my age is pretty good.

There is a company called cover box in Stamford started a little while ago by the chap that owned the bgl group of insurers. They fit a device to car that logs speed etc and mileage I think either now or planning it. Basically your policy rated on how the little dude drives. Quicker equals more dollar and slower less. All very intriguing as a new way of rating policies

had a quote with the blackbox fitted sounds good but 1or2 mile ahour over speed limit or brake to hard and corner to fast and they can add 11% on your premium .

Things have change so much since I past and I'm only just turning 25, I have a swift GTi as my first car £850 and a impreza sport after that at 17 and that was only £1200 then at 21 a 450bhp supra and that was £1800!! It's crazy good lucky mate I have a friend paying 3k for a 1.1 Saxo at 18.
