Godspeed did 86F on my refurbished calipers on my RB5 just over a month ago, I sort of wish I had the time to paint the "SUBARU" on the front calipers white to match the white stickers on the rears.
Didn't want to go the usual red route as it's looks pants when they're not brembos. Would've been boring black if I had not gone 86F.
Edit: here's a picture of the front caliper after a fun week driving around in Wales over a month ago: http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/9344/photo.JPG

I think red looks good when on a 1 piece calliper design such as the 4 pots but look tacky when applied to two piece callipers.
My Mercedes has two piece callipers and felt like I could only paint them black so as not to draw attention to them. Painting them black was far better than the natural dull grey that they were before.

It depends on the car. On a Corsa anything but black looks chavy. On a Mercedes anything but black or silver looks chavy. On an Impreza anything but black, silver, dark gold or red looks chavy. On a Porsche you can add yellow to that mix. The sportier the car the more it looks good.
