Hawkeye 2.5litre WRX
I'm in the process of booking a test drive for a 2007 White Hawkeye WRX 2.5
What would be required to get this car to 280-300bhp. Is it as easy as the buyeye/blobeyes.
Looking to part-ex my bugeye in for this, if its a good en!

As Tom has already put is easy as. Duncan at Racedynamix did mine the only thing I would add is maybe an STI top mount just to make it easy but is not imperative.
Also I wouldn't get hung up on the BHP side of it the torque is the baby with the 2.5's

I got 272bhp and 350Ib/ft with a replacement air filter element, Prodrive backbox and link pipe and Racedynamix remap. Feels very quick now.
Duncan (Racedynamix) said that the addition of a VF43 (sti turbo), STI top mount and fuel pump we'd be looking at 320bhp....just got to find a cool grand for the turbo now !

there a white hawk wrx on ebay at 9k.
and this blown head gasket is pish,to many folk pick up crap on the internet and like to spread it,
yes the 2.5 on the Hatch had bad probs due to poor mapping but not as many hawks have,
ive been running my hawk wrx with vf43,100cell sports cat downpipe with afterburner centre and backbox,im running 355bhp and have been for nearly 2 yrs on standard internals,.
car getting a few tweeks just now and going to maxthe turbo out and if the standard internals do go the i will forge it. the standard engine is gd for upto 400bhp but most run around 380 just incase.
i know lads in my local club running more than 400+ on standard hawk wrx internals!!
