Default How quick?

Evening all just a quick question. I'm taking a new focus rs for a spin this week and I'm just looking for some info before I drive it I.e how quick will it be in comparison to my 350bhp classic, how easy they are to mod, are they a good quick car a to b? Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them before I take it for a test drive. I will admit I'm really excited and haven't felt like this since I got my scooby. Thanks in advance.

Will be a much nicer place to be that's for sure but for outright performance the classic will be leaps and bounds infront.

A friend has a Mk2 RS. I drove it in standard form and thought it not as fast as a standard sti (which mine once was). The mods he's added have upped it to around 400bhp, with AP front brakes & AST coilovers. Unfortunately, other than on a perfectly smooth (and straight) piece of road his car is a real torque-steering handful and probably slower A - B than it was standard. I reckon your Scoob would leave it for dead.

Great looking, drive well, nice place to be.... but the Classic would murder it.

They are not know for off the line speed but have plenty of torque 325lb/ft as standard and with a £2k Jamsport 400 your looking at better torque than the CS400.

Can't comment on torque steer as yet to test drive one but hoping to have a go next weekend. Expensive 2nd hand as were £25k new and only dropped a couple of K. That said if that continues then still far less depreciation than a scoob.

I thought the s2 RS had a super duper diff that eliminates any torque steer.. nice cars but Ye the classic would destroy it

There's torque steer on anything less than a perfect road and floor the throttle in third and there's wheelspin even on a dry road. (cue all those RS owners to say you have know how you put the power down).
