Default What to do?

Well it turns out that my car has developed a knock which has in turn has been found out to be the big end.

Now I really am not in a position to put a new lump in the motor or go for a rebuild, so what I would like are some thoughts on either sripping and selling the mods/parts or just selling it as it is.

Obv I understand much depends on the spec list -

Api excedy clutch and lightened fly wheel
engine earthing kit
Afterburner 2.5inch exhaust with bell mouth de-cat down pipe
Magnetic sump plug
new battery
k&n panel filter
walbro fuel pump
apexi shocks and springs
front and rear upper strut braces
front lower h brace
black mud flaps
Bugeye wrx interior front and back
4 pot front and 2 pot rear brakes, all been stripped down and rebuilt using stainless pistons and new seals
godspeed disks and pads
hel stainless braided brake hoses
17 inovit redlines alloys with pretty much new tyres (t1-r)
Brake stopper
Brake bias removed
brand new cat 1 alarm and mob
Alloy bonnet
Prosport gauges oil temp/pressure/boost
Apexi Turbo timer

Thanks for looking and thoughts would be aprichated

Depends on time and money mate. If your in a postion where you can carry on daily with out the scoob then strip it mate. I see a few bits on it id have off you.

If your in the postion where you need it gone sell it whole. As i say tho mate depends on how you are finacially and if you need a car but as you know you will see better money by stripping it all

Cheers All, There is no rush as the car is not my runabout, financially things are good but Im not prepared to spend a grand on a car that at best is worth 2.5k, think stripping is the best bet but I need to think about it, if your interested in much then PM what you after mate.

Sell it as a whole car if i were you, the spec list is not that great in terms of resale value, you will get to around 6/700 quid then be left with a non rolling shell thats worth bugger all, factor in the time and hasstle to strip and post everything as well as all the time spent replying to pm's and emails, it's just not worth it.

I'd get a secondhand bottom end and bolt it on myself, not too difficult if you know how to twirl a spanner, and can be had for £3/500.

Buy a used bottom end from a trusted seller on here, usually go for between £300-£600 for a short motor.

Fitting the block would be less hassle than stripping the whole car for bits and you always end up with loads of parts that don't sell once everyone has 'cherry picked' all the good stuff !
