I work in insurance and I couldnt better Admiral for my modded STI - beat A-Plan easy. Just watch the excesses and things like admin charges (some charge £25 just for a copy schedule!) thats how they claw back their money. Watch who these brokers place you with (ie insurer) some are usless at paying claims. Admiral offer modification cover too (will pay to replace your mods if stolen/damaged) No broker means no commission so should mean cheaper premium..

Greenlight always for me. It seems there are certain insurers that consistently offer cheaper premiums than the rest for my circumstances (on many different cars) - you need to find that one, unfortunately it means lots of legwork (phones calls etc)

Greenlight gets my vote, good comms on here & when you phone but more importantly great rates that hammered my previous company out the park!!!

Direct line always sort me out, Clare at a-plan couldn't match them, so I rang them back to see if they could get it any lower and they then knocked off another £150
Happy days ;-)
