Buy a decent set to begin with buddy and you'll have no issues.

Agree with Matty. I had a set of Perrin ones up to 420Bhp with no issues at all

Blew four welds off my GTspec-2 headers due to overly aggressive antilag so the top quality headers arnt bullet proof either.

^^^^^ tis true even the best are prone tocracking, i know of plenty of rcm ones that have cracked. Best remedy is to have a slipjointed uppipe i think, you need some give somewhere nut slipjointed headers don't seem to be very good from what i've read anyway

Nothing is bullet proof and if your cracking top quality headers because your using anti lag then more fool you. It's part and parcel of running anti lag, no matter what system your using prolonged use of AL or over aggressive AL will bring issues.

Another vote for the lateral ones. Been running them at least 3 years at around 380bhp with antilag too. Just had a couple of gaskets to replace during that time. Although that wont ever happen again as ive welded the headers to the up-pipe at the 3 bolt flange

A good tip if welding them is to get them tacked in situ before taking them off to weld them properly. This seems to take some of the stress out of them & makes them less likely to crack again. As above the slip jointed up pipe also helps

GT2 Spec type tubular headers £445.
DEI heat wrapping £105.
Trick uppipe £149 which comes slip jointed, DEI heat wrapped and five new Subaru studs.
We wlll fit the headers or the headers and uppipe or the uppipe on its own for £75.
Properly designed, slip jointed uppipe substantially reduces the possibility of cracking the headers.
The biggest cause of cracked headers is the use of anti lag or solid uppipe.

Three years and still going strong on Lateral tubular headers and Harvey's slip joined fast spooling uppipe. Running 400bhp for two years and June last year went up to 470bhp.
