You won't make those figures with the standard turbo mate, you will struggle to make over 320-330 on standard internals and box. Your best bet is to fit a VF28 and run a safe 300-310bhp.

Hi ljf is that turbo a direct replacement And 300bhp would be plenty be happy with a good curve more than actual bhp.

What intercooler would you recommend

Thanks

also a 3 port boost solinoid is a good purchase as you get better boost control ,so im told

Yes mate a VF28 is a direct fit and will produce a good early spool up which is what matters for a nice fast road car on a Uk turbo.

Avoid chasing figures

your 440cc injectors are fine for that power but it should be on a TD04 so I'd stick a turbo and better intercooler on it.

Isn't the P1 top mount the same as a STi 5 top mount? If so - i wouldn't bother as it's hardly any different to the std uk one!

You will be better off getting a newage sti top mount and a zeros ports under tray.

Hardly any different or no different? If hardly any different then I don't really understand your point...
Slightly bigger cores as far as I'm aware and cosmetically a nice difference

For cost and ease of fitting I'd disagree as you're only aiming for 300bhp

I was told about the bigger core so bought an STi 5 item. My intake temp did not reduce so i surmised that my £80 outlay was a complete waste of money. When i sat my STi item on top of my uk one - they were identical in all but colour - that's my point.
At the very least - if i was gonna upgrade an intercooler - i would be looking at a newage STi i/c - but in reality i would go down the fmic route as the cost would be similar
