Default Struggling to decide on what next?

Right guys and gals, I'm trying to decide on what car to go for next.
I did want an estate because of dog but now I'm re thinking.
My origional choice was a rs4 avant or forester sti 05 shape, but seen as my missus wants a newer car soon, white a4 with LEDs etc lol (she has polo at mo)
So seen as she gonna get a decent doggy car that means I might be able to get myself a fully blown toy car.
I didnt want the Audi simply down to running cost, maintenance ,fuel, parts.
The fsti ticked all the boxes, rebuild, reliability , easy to get parts etc and reasonable costs on here of course, and could get it to leave the rs4 at a fraction of the price without the high costs.

So now I might forget about the estates now, as dog can go in missus car and worst case I'll just put a rag for dog on back seat.

So I look at newage impreza sti this time not wrx waggon which I have now.
I quite like to have spec c bug or s202 what's the diffrence or are they the same car?
Or blob jdm spec or the better one s??? Has to be a jdm for future mods etc
Thing is I don't know the diffrence in all these newage ones but would like the best, would want 55plate no later to avoid road tax hikes
So what would be the best one for me or you if you had a choice. I do prefer the look of the blobs better the later ones with dash change, probably only cos I have one my self but limited on power as to the reason may as well replace.
Just doing some research at moment so I know what I'm looking forward to.
Any good input will be good cheers

Please ignore my spelling/grammar mistakes
Cheers

Ive just changed after 9 years of Imprezas to a diesel VRS with the DSG gearbox. 55mpg, fantastic build quality and quality interior, plenty quick enough on the road .

ahh a wagon, depends what you want the car for.
the car you get depends on budget really. the s202 etc are very rare and because of this expensive.

the later blobs are a good car and the facelifted interior etc make them a much nicer car than the earlier ones.

personally i would avoid the uk 2.5 engined cars as they have hg issues but these are not blobeyes anyway.

jdm cars have a better spec but some people dont like the twin scroll turbos and lack of scooby burble, others love it so i would try both.

Thanks, I would like the blob facelift ver just for the modernness , budget I had planned 20k for rs4 but I would save quite a lot if I choose one of these.
So I'm quite intrested in type 25 or s203 etc, I'm prepared to wait no rush for me as I belive in good things come to those who wait
Just want to know the differences in the newage jdm range

jdms have twinscroll turbo and a few other differences like auto waterspray and rear window wiper.
the spec c is a better track car than an sti, its lighter and better set up and also has the roof flap fitted.

Jdm blob 05/55 plate is probably what I would want to go for, just for the newer interior. Is it just the type 25 or do they do the s203 aswell.
Hurst cars has a couple of bugs on there which are pretty nice. Is one of them shaks?

With that budget i'd go for a spec c, that way your future proofed for 500 bhp and all the cooling is in place if you want to track it, ie engine oil cooler, gearbox oil cooler, 12lt ic water spray tank in boot, it's seam welded has a quick rack and lightweight everything.

There is the 10k option of modding your wrx wagon and keeping the practicality of the wagon, brakes and suspension under 2k then fuel system £5/800, 2.1 rebuild and turbo 4k, £2k gearbox you could do it cheaper with second hand parts and save a bit but 10k spent the right way could see you in a real beast.

Speak to david at API and Alan at enginetuner, if only to examine your options, you could also buy any variant of sti and mod it to your preference, with that budget your options are vast, and as your not in a rush, it won't hurt to have a chat.

Don't know if I can be bothered with the hassle of car being off road for that long and can't do with the niggles of hiccups going wrong etc. just thought it would be easier just to replace it with a beast that has capabilities of turning into a 500+ future proof beast.
Isn't there a late blob that would be as good as the spec c or better? I.e what does the type 25 have to offer as I quite like them or s203?

Blob type 25 had std 2.5 bottom end so may still suffer with problems as per uk 2.5, jdm my05 either sti or spec c would what I would go for, well I did and I had the sti over spec c mainly as I use it daily and wanted the extras like rear wash and wipe and boot trim etc. but it all depends what you require. As what suits one person doesn't always suit someone else.
