My mate had a similier problem when he bought a RS4 and his neighbourhood is rough.
He is a very big lad but people still tried breaking in to it twice, then he put up CCTV a few weeks ago a group of lads came and tried taking the car, He got hold of one of them who ended up with a broken cheek bone and 3 teeth missing, the news travels fast around here so now people nod at him and don't dare look at the car, But I would really advise if you do get one stick a tracker on it

Anyone walking up the drive lights come on make sure you have grills over them and high enough up.
Camera can be dummy's of money is tight
Alarm switched on at night
Cage on letterbox to stop the fishing pole going in looking for the latch
Crime prevention officer from police will gave you a talk on security before the car comes

Get a dog! ..... a big bad tempered one with particularly pointy teeth!
Walk it around your area every evening so all the chavs can see that your house probably isnt worth the hassle!

Ask yourself, is it really worth having the car if you know deep down something is going
To happen to it at some point mate. What about renting a garage close to your home and
Keep the car there.

I remember the worry years ago when I was in a similar position. It was only a Cossie replica but the sleep I lost and the effort removing the steering wheel, ECU, etc at night and still I lay awake worrying.
Just buy a banger and be done with it. Or get the bus. Save up to move, it's the only logical way. The love of a good woman is worth so much more than a bloody car after all!

You only get one life mate, so it is what you make of it.
I left the Army 13 years ago, and moved into a right **** hole, as it was all i could afford, 3 bedroom semi for 35k at the time.
I moved in first while me and a couple of mates sorted the place out.
2 nights in and the fun started, 2am, got up for a wee and found the local gangsta trying to get out with my TV.
Shout the mates down, gave him a fookin good pasting, and tied him to a chair in the garage with ratchet straps, and gagged and blindfolded the *******.
Went back to bed!
6 hours later we let him go, and never ever had a single problem since, in-fact they go out of their way to help, always hold the shop door open for the wife and stuff like that.
Do/get whatever you want when you want, and don't let scum stop you
