Default Subaru Subframe & Harness bars

Hi guys,

On Monday I am off to collect two bucket seat, side rails, Wheel and harness (photos on Monday ) and I am prepping what other kit I will need to safely fit them in my Hawkeye. After a little reading around the subject I came across OMP Subaru Subframes is this the best way of fitting seats in a Subaru?

I have already removed the rear seats from my car as it’s a weekend toy I do not take passengers in my pride and joy so removing the seats saves that the situation when the girlfriend offers people a lift and I say NO! I understand you can fit Harness without any additional equipment however I see most people use harness bars what’s the benefit of doing this?

If I need one what’s the best quality model to fit? I would also consider fitting a rear cage would this replace the need for a harness bar?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris i would go with Buddy Club rails which are best and working well on Impreza,we are running them.

Buddy club you can adjust and they're sliding rails.About the OMP they're only floor mounted and you will be stuck only in one position.

We have Harness bar with TRS 4point harnesses, which are perfect quality.Don't buy cheap harness and buy with quick release, which will be useful if needs to be.

If you will go with rear cage go,i wouldn't brother with harness bar

I had better add another vote for you on the most helpful people on scoobynet

All my kit is Sabelt working on the fact the if its ok for Schumacher and Loeb then it’s ok for me. Where do you get your buddy club kit from? With only me ever driving the car I am not sure I will need adjustment? Not sure tho.

looking for a GT2 style rear cage any ideas guys?

Sabelt are great seatbelts/harness

Here are Buddy Club Rails

http://www.japshop.co.uk/acatalog/co...u_Seating.html

If you are not looking for adjusting and car will be only for you,i would go as you are said with OMP

Something like this

http://www.rallynuts.com/subaru-moto...subframes.html

About the Roll Cages, contact Safety devices they're good and mainly people are mostly used them

http://www.safetydevices.com/

Or Custom cages are good too

i put a cage in mine, and added a harness bar between the 'X' in the back using cds, and makes the harnesses bolt the same height level as my shoulders, as if you bolt the harnesses to the floor (no no no no) or were the rear seat belts bolt, the if the worst should happen the harness would pull you down, and crush your spine, which would not be very helpful in the morning lol.

sabelt harnesses are one of the best, just dont go smaller than 3" and 4 point! and quick release is the choice for most!

i opted for runners on my seats too, after first making them non runners, but being 6ft 4 it was quite far back, and garage and mot man couldnt drive it lol

Buddy club rails which Alyn @ AS Performance sought for me (stevebt had recommended these to me). Allows for adjustment especially if the buckets are staying in permanently!

Think Wrighty on here had some harness bars up for sale. I dont have one on mine and haven't used the harness so far even thought fitted!

Seats are easy to fit if you have all tools,if not will be really pain in ****

About the Buddy Club rails we are running them and we are very happy.Harness bar we are using and is same like here in Group Buy and is perfect fitment and before we are run without the Harness Bar and is just pain if you are want use rear seats
