Default 2004 Sti valuation

Hello all

I'm looking into getting a Subaru Sti 2004-6 dccd blob eye in blue or grey, no black.

What is the going rate for a low mileage car, say sub 30k with full history.

I'm coming from an evo 7 and have very little knowledge of subarus. It's going to be used purely as a weekend car not into big mods and have a budget up to 8k could go to 10k for something special.

Your thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards Karl

Welcome, Firstly i think your going to struggle to find a sub 30k 6/8 year old car, not saying they are not out there, and you won't find one in grey.

Need to see the car to get an exact figure, but 7/8 should get you what your after, up to 10k for a sweet jdm(jap domestic market)

With your budget and the fact thats it's going to be a toy, i'd look at a JDM wide track 05 car.

Don't worry too much about milage, as these have the strongest engine out of the box, buy an enthusiast owned well known/documented car, then you won't go far wrong.

Do some research on here using the search function and it will tell you everything you need to know about the above model.

Happy hunting.

Ive done a lot of research, just need to drive one

Theres one on eBay 54 reg 27k up at 9k local to me, I thought that was a little expensive offered 8200, he won't go lower than 8500.

Any thoughts on the price.

I know of a blue 2004 UK STI that will be for sale very soon. 51K from new, 2 owners, standard apart from PPP and in lovely condition.

I personally think 8500 is not a bad price for that, considering the mileage is low. I'm in the same boat myself but am looking for a black one with same spec as above.

The car is due an annual service, has cracking in rear tyres so I thought 8200 was a fair offer, plus it has only five stamps in the book.

Anyone else think its a good price, is it worth paying a premium for a low mileage car.

I bought a 2005 of what your thinking about back in Feb,it was up for
8.5k originally i got got it for 8K with 33K on the clock with full FSSH.
The car is in (Crystal.)Silver/Gold i believe,as i am new to the mark also.
It is the PPP version, wide track,6 speed.Iv'e had a 3" system from the
sport cat back and iv'e just had it re-mapped with Andy carr,337/340
and i am loving it.The guys give good advise on here so listen to what they
advise. It is a buyers market,so hopefully you should get what your after.
People say that i got a 9k car for the 8K,but with all sport cars out there is a margin for negociation.

Good luck with the purchase,i hope you will find a nice example.

Couple of cars come up on eBay and pistonheads but prices all over the place, 06 silver jdm 18k at 9k, 05 blue 32k at 11k.
Makes the 54 plate car look reasonable money

Or maybe realistic in the current market and needs to get rid.

Performance cars are not selling, they are like boats a luxury item, and when you need cash fast the first thing to go, i wouldn't run a scoob as my only car, way too expensive.

What would you guys value a 54 plate widetrack sti, with 27k, reasonable history in blue, car is in very good condition, car is due a service, has had all belts done last year good tyres but slight cracking on rears so would need replacing.
Its the car i wrote about above, i told the seller who had it up at 9k the most i would pay is £8200, he originally said no but has now said he would be willing to sell at £8200. Its on ebay at start price £7500 with no bids so seller now being more realistic.
I was supposed to view a car the weekend 05 crystal grey car 37k widetrack but it sold for £8100 before i could view.

What are your thoughts what should i bid him.
