Hi All,

I moved from the UK to Kenya Last year and brought with me my cherished 2006 Hawkeye STI. All was good until i got an engine knock due to low octane fuel. I joined Scoobynet to source a new engine from someone who had good reviews, and I must say that all your information gave me the confidence to buy from the FAB guys at API engines, particularly David O'Brien. So a BIG thanks to all the members on Scoobynet and API Engines!!

Not so unusual, we ship parts all over the world. a 5 speeder and rear diff went to California a while back. Regularly ship to Scandinavia, Lithuania, Slovenia and so on

We have even had hits on our webpages from Guam a tiny speck in the Pacific.

And a guy wanted to convert a WRX to STi in St Helena which is an equally small speck in the Atlantic. VERY FEW road miles on the island I am told... He obviously thought better of it, but went as far as pricing it all. There is only one way to get stuff to St Helena and that is by ship about 10 days. No airport there at all.

I know i'm Hijacking someone else's thread, but I just wanted to chip in my thanks as well. Just got home from API, the lads have fixed a Head Gasket failure for me and given it a new exhaust and re-map. What can I say, its now the car i've always wanted it to be. I'm not going to temp fate and say these guys have bullet proofed my engine, but I've now got a peace of mind i've never had in this car (already had 2 head gasket failures fixed by the dealership under warranty).

If you're looking to get some work done, I can't recommend them enough, they haven't tried to pressure me in to expensive parts or excessive work, and they are thoroughly nice guys to boot. They put up with me practically comatosed in the corner of their office today (not had much sleep) spreading my cold and flu.

have to say big thangs to david @ api too as he was really helpful in clarifying that my car had undegone engine work there by the previos owner,a quick pm and hed searched his records and pmd me back even though i wasnt spending money with them
