The cable inserts into the back of the dial it will pull out as the dials are removed. It is possible to shove it back in via reaching up from under by the pedals .....its not easy though:P.All the other stuff inc rev counter will still work if it becomes unplugged.

You can get to it from under the dash if you have your head in the footwell. If it's the cable type it's possible that it's not seated correctly but it's certainly worth getting under the dash and having another look.

The above is goood advice.

The speedo is worked by a mechnical cable, everthing else is electrical.

Sounds like tou got the electrics back OK, but the speedo cable not connected/properly.

I changed my clocks the other weeks and I couldn't get the speedo cable back on so I connected everything else back up and then went under the dash to connect it
